Job Purpose:
- The Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Risk Compliance at Lifestream Behavioral Center will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and management of compliance programs to ensure the organization adheres to all regulatory requirements and industry standards. The role involves strategic planning, risk assessment, and fostering a culture of compliance across all levels of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive compliance programs and policies to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential compliance issues and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with senior management to integrate compliance strategies into business operations and decision-making processes.
- Provide guidance and training to staff on compliance-related matters, promoting a culture of ethical behavior and awareness.
- Monitor changes in laws and regulations that impact the organization and ensure timely updates to compliance policies and procedures.
- Lead investigations into compliance breaches and recommend corrective actions to mitigate risks.
- Prepare and present reports to the executive team and board of directors on compliance status and risk management strategies.
- Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies to ensure transparency and accountability in compliance practices.
Required Education:
- Bachelor's degree or R.N with certification in Health Care Risk Management (CPHRM) required. CPPS, CHC, and CPHQ certifications preferred.
Required Experience:
- At least three (3) years of risk management or related field combined with three (3) years of clinical and administrative experience in a hospital or mental health setting.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex risk scenarios and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams, fostering a culture of compliance and risk awareness.
- Proficiency in using risk management software and tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential compliance issues.
- Ability to stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes, ensuring the organization's compliance framework remains robust and effective.
