Position Overview:
The Estimator is responsible for producing accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial landscape construction projects. This includes quantity takeoffs, subcontractor/vendor pricing, and collaboration with project teams to ensure estimates are buildable and profitable.
Key Responsibilities

Measure and calculate quantities of materials, labor, and equipment needed for landscape construction projects.

Develop detailed cost breakdowns for materials, labor, equipment, subcontractors, and overhead to prepare competitive bids.

Compile andsubmitcomplete proposals, includingscopeclarifications, alternates, and value engineering recommendations.

Solicit, review, and confirm vendor and subcontractor pricing; ensure scopes areaccurateand comprehensive.

Support Preconstruction, Project Managers, and Operations to ensure estimates areaccurateand buildable throughout the project.

Respond to RFIs, attend pre-bid meetings, andmaintainprofessional communication as needed.

Enter, track, andmaintainestimates, bids, and project opportunities in Aspire, Bid Board, or CRM systems;maintainhistorical cost databases.
Qualifications
-
2+ years of experience in the landscape/irrigation construction industry.

2+ years of estimating experience for landscape and irrigation projects.

Proficiencywith scaled drawings, architect/engineer scales, and irrigation design.

Strong mathematical skills in areas such as volume, area, and conversions.

Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiencyin Microsoft Office, estimating software, and related technology.
