Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Installer Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of HVAC systems to ensure optimal comfort and efficiency for our clients. Your expertise will help deliver high-quality service by interpreting schematics, troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring all installations meet safety and building codes. Duties
- Install HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and building automation systems according to schematics and design specifications
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) systems to maximize performance and lifespan
- Troubleshoot electrical diagnostics, mechanical systems repair, and equipment issues using hand tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and HVAC design documents to ensure accurate installation and maintenance procedures
- Conduct system testing and calibration to verify proper operation; repair or replace faulty components as needed
- Assist with plumbing connections related to HVAC systems and ensure compliance with safety standards such as EPA regulations for refrigerants
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining system functions, maintenance needs, and safety procedures to clients
Skills
- Proven construction experience with a strong understanding of mechanical systems installation
- Service technician experience in HVAC or related fields with a focus on system repair and maintenance
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, HVAC design plans, electrical diagrams, and building automation systems
- Mechanical knowledge of HVAC components including refrigeration cycles, boilers, air conditioning units, ammonia refrigeration systems, and electrical systems
- Skilled in the use of hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers; diagnostic tools including ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting
- Experience with equipment troubleshooting, HVAC system repair, installation processes, and property maintenance tasks
- Knowledge of EPA regulations regarding refrigerant handling; valid EPA certification required
- Familiarity with electrical diagnostics; ability to diagnose electrical faults in complex mechanical systems
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to operate company vehicles safely
