Prep Cook / Dishwasher
Responsibilities:
A. Dishwasher:
1. Ensuring a steady supply of clean flatware and utensils are available to the kitchen and FOH staff at all times.
2. Cleaning and clearing all dirty cookware as needed.
3. Assisting FOH with bussing service.
4. Maintain organization and cleanliness of prep and dishwashing area as well as assist in maintaining cleanliness of the cook station.
Includes but is not limited to:
- Maintaining clear and clean work surfaces.
- Ensuring cleanliness and tidiness of prep and cook area floor and surrounding areas
- Assisting with storing of produce deliveries (may require that you lift up to 40lbs at chest height and below)
End of day Clearing and Cleaning.
Includes but is not limited to:
- Sweeping/Mopping/Wiping/Sanitizing of Dining, Kitchen, and Bathroom floor and surfaces
- Assist with general restaurant cleaning tasks.
B. Prep Cook
1. Ensure that the cook staff prep area is stocked at all times and provide general food preparations as needed and in a timely manner..
Includes but is not limited to:
- Cutting/Chopping/Slicing of fresh produce.
- Preparing ingredients for menu item (batters, soups, etc) on demand or as needed.
- Assembling/preparing menu items such as Crepes and Fruit cups to order.
- Stocking ingredients on demand and as needed before, during, and after service.
General Workplace Expectations (minimum) :
- 1. Hold a servsafe (or equivalent) food handlers certificate.
- 2. Adhere to professional business conducts (Timeliness, Communication, Respect, Inclusivity)
- 3. Ensure actions are conducted in a manner consistent with all food safety standards and guidelines.
- 4. Demonstrate a willingness to support our team, take initiative, and provide a quality customer experience.
- 5. A desire to archive autonomy in work tasks and responsibilities.
- 6. MUST have good multitasking and situational awareness + calm under multidirectional task load.
Wage: starting $ 16.90/hour (increased wage available after 6 months or successful performance evaluations or promotion. ( + up to 15% TIP POOLING (= +$4-10/hour))
