IT System Administrator
Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced IT System Administrator to join our technology team. In this role, you will own the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the LCSC IT infrastructure—including servers, networks, and applications. This position works onsite at the Lebanon Community School Corporation in Indiana.
As a core member of our team, you will troubleshoot complex technical issues, ensure robust system security, and design/implement new systems. If you are a resourceful problem-solver who thrives in a dynamic environment, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure & Server Management
-
Deployment & Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain servers, network devices, and software applications.

Lifecycle Planning: Design and oversee the strategic deployment, upgrading, and lifecycle management of all server and client devices.

Monitoring & Optimization: Proactively monitor server performance and rapidly troubleshoot any infrastructure issues that arise.

Data Protection: Maintain all server backups and actively participate in disaster recovery planning.
Endpoint & Application Management

MDM Administration: Manage district-wide Mobile Device Management (MDM) systems and device enrollment pipelines. (JAMF PRO)

Software Delivery: Package and deploy applications smoothly to end-user client devices.
Security, Support, & Administration

System Security: Implement, maintain, and enforce robust IT security policies and procedures.

Escalation Support: Provide advanced technical troubleshooting and escalation support for LCSC building technicians.

Documentation & Innovation: Thoroughly document IT processes and procedures while staying up to date on the latest industry trends and technologies.

Team Collaboration: Execute other IT-related tasks and projects as assigned by the Director of Technology.
Qualifications & Skills
Required Experience & Education:
-
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience as an IT System Administrator.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (equivalent IT certifications and professional experience will also be considered).
Required Technical Skills:
-
Operating Systems: Strong proficiency with Windows and Linux server operating systems.

Device Management: Proven experience managing macOS, iOS, and Windows devices within a large-scale or enterprise environment.

Directory Services: Deep experience with Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID directory services.

Networking: Solid understanding of core networking technologies, specifically TCP/IP, DHCP, and DNS.

Automation: Practical experience with scripting languages like PowerShell and Bash.

Productivity: Experience managing Microsoft Office 365 and/or Google Workspace.

Certification: Must be willing and able to obtain the Apple Certified IT Professional certification within the first year of employment.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with VMware vSphere.

Familiarity with enterprise storage solutions (SAN/NAS/DAS).

Compensation:

Salary Range: $65,000 – $80,000
