We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated GM Certified Mechanic to join our dynamic automotive service team. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues across vehicle systems, including engines, electrical systems, and transmissions.
- Repair and overhaul powertrain components such as engines, transmissions, and drive axles, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Conduct ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibrations and alignments to meet manufacturer specifications.
- Interpret automotive wiring diagrams and schematics accurately to troubleshoot electrical issues efficiently.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy lifting techniques safely during repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs performed, parts used, and diagnostic findings in accordance with dealership standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process.
Qualifications
- Valid GM Certification or equivalent automotive certification demonstrating expertise in GM vehicle repair.
- Proven dealership experience with a strong background in automotive engine system repair and diagnostics.
- Extensive knowledge of automotive electrical systems, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
- Hands-on experience with diesel engine repair and heavy-duty vehicle maintenance is preferred.
- Familiarity with ADAS technology, wheel alignment procedures, and automotive wiring interpretation.
- Proficiency with automotive diagnostic tools and understanding of modern automotive electrical systems.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks efficiently in a busy workshop environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
