Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Mobile Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. This position is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of large construction equipment in the field. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, dependable, and capable of working independently while delivering high-quality service to keep equipment operating safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform on-site diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on heavy construction equipment

Maintain and service equipment including excavators, loaders, bulldozers, and other diesel-powered machinery

Inspect equipment for mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues and determine appropriate solutions

Complete preventative maintenance such as oil changes, filter replacements, and system checks

Respond to service calls and breakdowns in a timely manner

Accurately document work performed, parts used, and time spent on repairs

Follow all safety procedures and company policies while working in the field

Communicate effectively with supervisors and equipment operators regarding repair status and needs
Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift 50+ lbs.

Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions

Frequent bending, standing, kneeling, and climbing on equipment

Qualifications:
-
5+ years of experience working on heavy construction equipment (field experience preferred)

Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and troubleshooting techniques

Ability to read and interpret service manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (CDL a plus)

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Ability to communicate in both English and Spanish preferre
