Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Class A CDL driver skilled in manual transmission operation to join our dynamic transportation team. This role offers the opportunity to drive and operate a pneumatic Dry bulk Tanker. As a key player in our logistics operations, you will be responsible for safely transporting dry bulk cement,or lime fines across routes, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent customer service. Your expertise in manual transmission driving and diverse vehicle types will help us meet the high standards of safety, efficiency, and reliability our clients expect.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial tractor-trailers with manual transmissions across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Drive a day cab and/or sleeper truck with a pneumatic dry bulk tanker.
- Load and unload dry bulk commodity efficiently using proper techniques and equipment to prevent damage and ensure accurate deliveries. We will train on loading and unloading procedures.
- Manage route driving responsibilities with precision, maintaining schedules while prioritizing safety and compliance.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns before and after each trip.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly.
- Maintain detailed records of mileage, cargo documentation, delivery logs, and inspection reports in accordance with company policies.
Requirements
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with proven experience operating manual transmission trucks.
- Demonstrated ability to drive tractor with trailer.
- Prior experience in dry bulk freight delivery preferred, but we will train if no experience in dry bulk loading & unloading procedures.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial trucking and cargo handling.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as climbing ladder onto trailer with safety gear, ability to pull and hook up hoses, turn product valves, read gauges, and unhook lines and stow away product lines.
- Excellent driving record with no major violations or accidents within the past few years.
- Flexibility to work varied schedules including early mornings, evenings, weekends or extended trips as required.

Pay: $27.00 - $31.00 per hour
