The New Castle-Henry County Public Library is seeking an energetic, creative, and child-centered Children's Services Specialist to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who genuinely enjoys working with children and families and wants to make a meaningful impact through literacy, learning, and community engagement.

What You'll Do
- Plan and present engaging storytimes for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age children.
- Lead activities and playgroups that encourage early literacy, learning, and social development.
- Assist with children's programs, including crafts, STEAM activities, seasonal events, and Summer Reading.
- Provide outstanding customer service to children, caregivers, and library patrons.
- Recommend books and resources that spark imagination and foster a love of reading.
- Build relationships with schools, childcare providers, and community organizations.
- Promote library services through outreach activities and community partnerships.
- Help maintain and develop the children's collection and department displays.

Qualifications
- Associate degree required.
- Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, education, library science, communications, or a related field preferred.
- Experience working with children in a library, school, childcare, or similar setting preferred.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Indiana Public Librarian Certification.
Schedule
This full-time position includes a flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekends.
