Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate teacher to join our educational team. This role involves educating children, mentoring them in their academic journeys, and providing tailored support to meet diverse learning needs.
Responsibilities
- Model the Catholic faith through personal witness, prayer, and participation in the sacramental life of the Church.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
- Teach Spanish language (speaking, listening, reading, and writing) to students grades PK4-8.
- Incorporate cultural lessons and activities to expose students to Spanish-speaking countries and traditions.
- Use a variety of instructional strategies, including visual aids, music, games, and storytelling.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and respect.
- Manage student behavior effectively, using school-wide discipline policies and individual behavior plans as needed.
- Design and administer formative and summative assessments to evaluate student understanding and language acquisition.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress and classroom activities.
- Supervise students during non-instructional times such as lunch, recess, arrival/dismissal, and bus duty.
- Participate in school events, assemblies, extracurricular activities and contribute to a positive school culture.
- Perform additional responsibilities as requested by the school administration to support school operations and student safety.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Previous teaching experience, preferred
- Applicants should be familiar with the Microsoft Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
