Job Title: High School History Online Tutor, US only

Position Overview:
APEX Global Academy is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable High School History Tutor to provide online instruction. The ideal candidate will be an experienced educator with a strong background in history and a track record of helping students succeed in their school curriculum. You will be responsible for offering personalized tutoring, fostering critical thinking about historical events, and ensuring students are well-prepared for their exams and assignments.
Key Responsibilities:
· Provide one-on-one tutoring in history subjects aligned with students' school curriculum, including U.S. History, World History, European History, and other relevant topics.
· Help students understand key historical events, themes, and concepts, and assist them with homework, essays, and exam preparation.
· Develop tailored lessons that address individual students’ needs, ensuring they grasp both content and historical analysis techniques.
· Foster a supportive and engaging learning environment that encourages students to critically examine historical events and their impact.
· Use a variety of teaching strategies and technologies to accommodate students with different learning styles.
· Monitor and assess student progress, offering feedback and guidance to help them improve their historical understanding and academic performance.
· Collaborate with APEX staff to ensure a comprehensive support system for students' academic success.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in History, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
· Teaching certification or credential, if required by the state.
· Experience tutoring or teaching history at the high school level.
· Strong knowledge of historical content and ability to teach critical thinking and analytical writing skills.
· Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
· Passion for working with high school students and inspiring them to engage with history.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience with curriculum development or instructional design in history.
· Proven success in helping students improve their performance in history courses.
· Familiarity with online teaching tools and platforms.
