We are seeking a professional and personable Front Desk Agent to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for guests, providing exceptional guest services and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of hospitality management, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently. The Front Desk Agent plays a vital role in maintaining the smooth operation of the front desk and contributing to overall guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in/check-out procedures
- Manage multi-line phone systems with professionalism using proper phone etiquette
- Handle guest inquiries, reservations, and special requests efficiently
- Provide information about hotel amenities, local attractions, and services
- Maintain accurate records of guest accounts and billing information
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest rooms meet quality standards
- Assist with night audit procedures when required, ensuring financial accuracy for daily reports
- Address guest concerns promptly and escalate issues to management when necessary
- Support guest relations efforts by creating a welcoming environment and fostering positive experiences
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hotel management, front desk operations, or customer service within the hospitality industry preferred
- Strong knowledge of hotel management systems and multi-line phone systems
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on professionalism and customer service excellence
- Ability to handle night audit responsibilities is a plus
- Hospitality management or hotel experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings or weekends if needed
- High School diploma or equivalent
