Job Summary
The Security Associate is responsible for supporting the safety and security of the PAC, including its staff, patrons, presenters, crews, artists, and visitors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct routine security and safety inspections of the facility, including interior and exterior areas.
- Monitor surveillance, alarm, HVAC, and other building systems, and respond promptly to emergencies, disturbances, and unauthorized access.
- Coordinate with law enforcement, emergency responders, and safety agencies as needed, including providing first aid or CPR when required.
- Maintain accurate security logs, issue equipment and keys, manage backstage access, and support event security staff.
- Assist visitors, receive deliveries, monitor loading areas, and support event security operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Minimum of one year of security training or equivalent experience required; two years of experience preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and speak basic English.
- Ability to use multiple computer-based software systems, including Microsoft Office and other specialized programs.
- Must maintain current first aid and CPR certification.
- Ability to work independently and remain seated for extended periods.
- Ability to respond to incidents and alarms promptly, calmly, and professionally.
- Ability to interact tactfully with individuals whose actions may affect security.
- Ability to stand, sit, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as required.
- Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally move up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to respond appropriately to individuals experiencing illness, injury, or irrational behavior.
