ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Prepares packets for Student Reassignment Center - Sends requests to teachers for assignments, gathers, sorts and labels for delivery to Student Reassignment Center.
2. Sends status checks on suspended students to teachers, gathers, sorts and labels for delivery to Student Support Services, along with all other necessary information.
3. Prepares paperwork for Student Reassignment Center, In School Suspension, suspension and expulsion.
4. Greets parents and students - Answers telephone and takes messages for Assistant Principals.
5. Responsible for issuing and selling parking decals; compiles and maintains database for parking decals.
6. Assists Assistant Principal with coordinating the selling of football tickets.
7. Receives payments for Saturday School, lost textbooks, parking decals and other obligations.
8. Balances receipt books pertaining to parking, textbooks, Saturday School and miscellaneous obligations.
9. Completes log report on each deposit.
10. Collects on non-sufficient funds checks.
11. Maintains three Student Activity Fund (SAF) accounts (parking decals, identification cards and parking tickets).
12. Assists with student registration (bus cards, identification cards and parking decals).
13. Makes out and looks up call slips for students.
14. Sorts and coordinates truancy reports, discipline referrals and absence reports on all students with appropriate Assistant Principal.
15. Organizes and catalogues book cards.
16. Issues textbooks and helps coordinate distribution and return of textbooks at the end of the semester and school year.
17. Supervises book room and issues books to new students.
18. Keeps track of withdrawn students, textbooks turned in, lost textbooks and other items.
19. Obtains from computer Visiting Teacher Referral Forms upon request of administrator.
20. Keeps up with court cases, files and coordinates with appropriate Assistant Principal and Visiting Teacher who will be in court each week and compiles all paperwork necessary to present court cases.
21. Reports employee on the job injuries and prepares necessary paperwork for Risk Management.
22. Coordinates arrangements with Risk Management on employees who wish to be seen at the Minor Emergency Clinic with injuries related to Workers Compensation.
23. Follows up with accident reports and other necessary forms for processing injury reports.
24. Composes, types and proofreads Daily Bulletin for daily publication and distribution.
25. Reports yearly on new and current employees who drive in the scope of their employment.
26. Responsible for the issuance of school keys.
27. Responsible for accepting work orders, inputting work orders into the system for attention, answering questions about progress of campus projects.
28. Maintains schedule of appointments for Assistant Principals.
29. Maintains office files and student discipline records for Assistant Principals.
30. Schedules bus reservations for field trips.
31. Notarizes forms and documents as needed.
32. Inputs names of students for Saturday School.
33. Compiles, types and proofs all information for weekly calendar for publication and distribution.
34. Issues, sorts, compiles and maintains school locker program on computer.
35. Provides locker combinations to students as needed.
36. Collects, sorts and forwards student insurance forms to insurance company.
37. Sorts mail for school.
38. Controls the base radio station and communicates with assistant principals, police officers, etc.
39. Compiles, sorts, types and distributes Campus Crisis Plan as needed.
40. Trains and supervises student aides.
41. Maintains confidentiality of all information.
42. Reports to work on time every day.
43. Performs additional duties and accepts other responsibilities as may be assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
• Successful completion of applicable skills testing through the Department of Human Resources
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office software (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, equipment and clerical techniques
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- High degree of discretion dealing with confidential information
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Ability and willingness to work cooperatively with others
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- Valid Texas Drivers License with a driving record that meets the requirements of the District
