We are looking for an experienced, energetic, and guest-focused Front Office Manager to lead our front desk team and help drive the daily operation of our hotel.

The Front Office Manager will oversee the day-to-day front desk operation while working closely with the General Manager, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Sales, Revenue Management, and Accounting teams.
The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, confident with guests and employees, and comfortable being a hands-on leader in a fast-paced hotel environment.
What You'll Do
- Lead the daily operations of the Front Desk and guest services team
- Hire, train, coach, schedule, and develop front office employees
- Create a positive work environment while maintaining strong accountability and performance standards
- Review employee performance and provide ongoing feedback, coaching, recognition, and corrective action when necessary
- Prepare weekly schedules and ensure proper staffing based on hotel occupancy and business levels
- Review and finalize weekly payroll and employee timekeeping
- Become highly proficient with the hotel's Property Management System (PMS), point-of-sale systems, and brand loyalty program
- Ensure front desk agents follow proper check-in, check-out, payment, credit card, cash-handling, and guest-account procedures
- Review daily arrivals, departures, VIP guests, special requests, room assignments, and loyalty-member recognition
- Work closely with Housekeeping to monitor room status and ensure rooms are available for arriving guests
- Coordinate guest relocations and oversell situations when necessary
- Review Night Audit reports and follow up on discrepancies or operational issues
- Assist with guest billing questions, refunds, reimbursements, charge disputes, account reconciliation, and other accounting-related matters
- Assist with accounts receivable and credit account reconciliation as needed
- Resolve guest concerns professionally, fairly, and efficiently
- Follow up on guest issues to ensure problems are fully resolved
- Maintain a strong presence in the lobby and Front Desk area during busy periods
- Ensure the Front Desk and lobby remain clean, organized, welcoming, and professional
- Provide recommendations for restaurants, attractions, transportation, events, and other local services
- Identify opportunities to increase hotel revenue through upgrades, upselling, walk-in business, and sales leads
- Communicate potential corporate, group, and extended-stay leads to the Sales team
- Monitor departmental expenses and assist management with controlling labor and operating costs
- Conduct inventories of Front Office supplies and order items when needed
- Develop and maintain training materials, checklists, SOPs, and reference guides for Front Desk employees
- Conduct regular Front Office meetings and training sessions
- Work closely with all hotel departments to improve communication and overall guest satisfaction
- Maintain a strong understanding of hotel emergency and safety procedures
- Respond calmly and professionally during emergencies
- Report suspicious activity, safety hazards, maintenance concerns, and security issues immediately
- Ensure compliance with all hotel, company, and brand standards
- Assist the General Manager with additional hotel operational responsibilities as needed
What We're Looking For
- Previous hotel Front Office management or supervisory experience
- Experience as a Front Office Manager, Assistant Front Office Manager, Front Desk Manager, Front Desk Supervisor, Assistant General Manager, or similar hospitality leadership role
- Strong understanding of hotel Front Desk operations
- Experience with hotel Property Management Systems; brand-specific PMS experience is a plus
- Strong guest-service and problem-solving skills
- Ability to calmly resolve guest complaints and difficult situations
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable working with reports, billing, credit card reconciliation, refunds, payroll, and basic hotel accounting functions
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Good judgment and ability to make operational decisions independently when necessary
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and hotel systems
- Dependable attendance and reliable transportation
- Professional appearance and communication
- Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional overnight shifts based on business needs
