Responsibilities
- Welcome patients and provide a personalized eyewear experience.
- Interpret prescriptions and accurately dispense eyewear.
- Assist patients in selecting frames and lenses that fit their lifestyle and vision needs.
- Perform frame adjustments, repairs, fittings, and troubleshooting.
- Educate patients on lens options, coatings, eyewear care, and vision benefits.
- Process spectacle orders and insurance claims using Compulink, VisionWeb, and EyeMed.
- Verify measurements and optical orders for accuracy.
- Coordinate with optical laboratories and frame manufacturers and maintain an organized dispensary.
- Maintain accurate patient records while ensuring HIPAA compliance.
- Collaborate with doctors and team members to provide outstanding patient care.
Qualifications
- Experience as an Optician or in retail optical sales preferred.
- ABO certification is a plus but not required.
- Knowledge of spectacle lens dispensing, frame adjustments, and optical terminology.
- Experience with Compulink and vision insurance portals is preferred.
- Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills.
- Positive attitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to personalized patient care.
