Overview:
We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Office Assistant at our childcare center. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, be comfortable with multitasking, and maintain a calm, organized approach to daily tasks. In this role, you'll interact with parents, support staff, ensure the smooth operation of the center, and step into the classroom as needed.
A $300 hiring bonus will be awarded after 120 days of full-time employment, contingent upon maintaining good standing.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service & Parent Relations:
- Greet both current and prospective parents with a warm and friendly demeanor.
- Assist visitors and respond to parent inquiries, providing information and support as needed.
- Foster strong relationships with families through open, responsive communication.
Administrative Support:
- Perform general administrative duties, ensuring the center complies with all state regulations.
- Organize and maintain accurate records, files, and documentation.
- Keep the school environment clean, organized, and welcoming at all times.
- Provide daily administrative support to ensure smooth office operations.
Classroom Support:
- Step in as a substitute teacher when necessary, ensuring a seamless transition and continuity of care for children.
- Interact with children in a positive, educational, and supportive manner.
- Assist teachers in creating a nurturing and enriching environment for young learners.
General Center Support:
- Provide general support to the center as needed, contributing to its overall success.
- Participate in team meetings and collaborate with colleagues to continually improve the quality of care and education.
Job Requirements:
- Strong customer service skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Excellent multitasking abilities, with the ability to prioritize and stay organized.
- Clear, professional communication skills (verbal, written, and listening).
- A passion for working with young children and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Previous experience in a childcare or preschool setting is preferred.
- Willingness to drive the school bus and assist in classrooms when needed.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Flexibility in job duties and work hours.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
- Ability to maintain composure and efficiency in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
