Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and reliable Class A CDL Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer to and from construction job sites while efficiently loading and unloading product. This role involves delivering material to designated local routes while maintaining compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Candidates should possess strong driving skills, experience, and the ability to load and unload construction material safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commercial vehicle, specific experience operating tractor-trailers.
- Load and unload material using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary.
- Follow designated routes to ensure timely delivery and pick up of product to customers or job sites.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in accordance with company policies.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations during transit.
- Communicate effectively regarding delivery schedules.
- Ability and experience in securing loads properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Perform routine maintenance checks and report any vehicle issues promptly.
Skills
- Proven experience in truck driving, including route driving and delivery driver experience.
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures including load & unload operations.
- Familiarity with safety protocols related to commercial driving and cargo securement.
- Ability to operate auxiliary equipment such as forklifts when required.
- Strong navigation skills and familiarity with route planning.
- Excellent communication skills for effective coordination.
- Valid Class A commercial driver’s license (CDL A).
- Active DOT/medical registration
- Clear MVR
This position is ideal for motivated drivers who prioritize safety, efficiency, and professionalism in their daily duties while contributing to our day-to-day operations.
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
