Responsibilities
- Skillfully cut, slice, dice, and portion fresh produce according to specified recipes and standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work station to ensure food safety and hygiene compliance
- Assist in meal preparation by providing prepared ingredients for chefs and kitchen staff
- Follow proper knife skills techniques to maximize efficiency and safety during food handling
- Ensure all produce is stored correctly, rotated properly, and monitored for freshness
- Support catering events by preparing large quantities of produce as needed with precision and speed
- Adhere to food safety regulations and sanitation procedures at all times to uphold health standards
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food handling, kitchen work, or restaurant environments is highly preferred
- Demonstrated knife skills with the ability to handle various cutting tools safely and efficiently
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper sanitation procedures in a commercial kitchen setting
- Basic understanding of meal preparation, food industry standards, and culinary techniques
- Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
