Duties
- Prepare a variety of menu items with precision and consistency, following recipes and presentation standards
- Assist in food preparation, including chopping, marinating, portioning, and cooking ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area to ensure food safety and sanitation compliance
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, stoves, ovens, and food processors
- Support meal assembly and plating to ensure timely service during busy hours
- Follow all food handling procedures to uphold health regulations and prevent cross-contamination
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and excellent service delivery
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant settings with a focus on quality and efficiency
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in basic culinary techniques
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling practices
- Experience with menu planning and meal assembly in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with dietary department procedures or dietary aide experience is a plus
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards serving guests
