Breakfast/Lunch Server & Housekeeper
THE ROLE
This is a hands-on hospitality role that blends breakfast/lunch service with midday housekeeping support. You’ll be a friendly face at meal-time and a detail-focused pro behind the scenes—helping guests feel cared for, and keeping the inn looking its best.
SCHEDULE
- Hours: 20–40 hours/week (full-time or part-time)
- Typical day: 7:00am breakfast service → mid-morning through afternoon housekeeping
- Weekends/holidays are part of hospitality life (we’ll schedule fairly)
WHAT YOU'LL DO
A) Breakfast Service (7:00am into late morning)
- Set up breakfast area (coffee, beverages, tables, buffet/plates as applicable)
- Greet guests warmly; help seat as needed
- Serve guests end-to-end: take orders (if applicable), run food, refresh coffee, clear/reset tables
- Support the kitchen team: light prep, stocking, dishwashing, keeping stations clean and organized
- Handle allergies and special requests carefully; communicate clearly with kitchen/lead
- Create a calm, positive guest experience and help resolve issues with good judgment
B) Housekeeping + Inn Readiness (mid-morning through afternoon)
- Clean and reset guest rooms to standard (beds, bathrooms, surfaces, floors)
- Restock linens, towels, amenities, and supplies
- Turn rooms efficiently while keeping quality high
- Clean common areas (entry, halls, lounge, restrooms)
- Laundry (wash/dry/fold/stock)
- Flag and address maintenance issues, lost-and-found items, or supply shortages promptly
- Help the property feel tidy, welcoming, and “ready” every day
WHAT YOU BRING
- Warm, dependable, and genuinely enjoys helping people
- Strong attention to detail and pride in clean, well-done work
- Good pace and stamina: on your feet, moving, lifting up to ~30 lbs
- Comfortable following checklists and standards (and improving them)
- Clear communicator and team player (you’ll work with kitchen, inn, and management)
COMPENSATION
- $18-23/hour + tips (breakfast service tips and housekeeping)

ABOUT THE LANDGROVE
We’re a 16-room historic inn with a beloved Art Studio & Full-Service Restaurant, hosting 35–40 art workshops each year with nationally and internationally known artists—on 23 acres in Vermont’s Green Mountains, next door to alpine & cross-country skiing paradise.
