Position Summary
Phoenix Freight Carriers LLC is hiring a Freight Loader to help prepare cargo for transportation and keep loading operations running on schedule. This position is focused on building and preparing loads, checking freight, and making sure cargo is handled properly before it leaves the facility.
You don't need previous logistics experience to get started. Training is provided, and the position is suitable for candidates who are dependable, physically active, and interested in learning the transportation business.
Key Duties
- Prepare freight for scheduled pickups and outbound transportation.
- Load boxes, pallets, and other cargo into trailers and delivery vehicles.
- Arrange freight to maximize available loading space.
- Check shipment labels and destination information before loading.
- Match freight with the appropriate load or route.
- Secure and position cargo to help prevent shifting during transportation.
- Assist with sorting freight before it is loaded.
- Use carts, dollies, pallet jacks, and other approved equipment as required.
- Notify supervisors of damaged freight or discrepancies.
- Help maintain an orderly loading dock and staging area.
- Work according to established safety and handling procedures.
- Assist the transportation team with other freight-related tasks when needed.

Basic Requirements
- No previous freight-loading experience required.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not mandatory.
- Ability to lift and move freight weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, push, pull, and lift throughout the shift.
- Ability to work safely around trucks and loading equipment.
