RN Treatment Nurse
Skilled Nursing Facility | Conroe, TX Area
Full-Time | Day Shift
A skilled nursing facility in the Conroe area is currently seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Treatment Nurse for a full-time position.
The Treatment Nurse will be responsible for providing wound and skin treatments, monitoring resident skin conditions, maintaining accurate clinical documentation, and working with the nursing team to support appropriate treatment and prevention measures.
Candidates with previous skilled nursing, long-term care, treatment, or wound care experience are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform wound care and other treatments according to physician orders
- Complete skin assessments and monitor residents for changes in condition
- Document treatments and resident outcomes accurately and timely
- Monitor pressure injuries and other skin concerns
- Participate in wound rounds as needed
- Communicate changes or concerns to nursing leadership and providers
- Ensure treatment documentation and orders are current
- Assist with skin integrity and pressure injury prevention measures
- Follow infection control and clinical policies
- Maintain compliance with applicable state and federal requirements
- Work collaboratively with nursing staff and other members of the interdisciplinary team
Qualifications
- Current Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Previous skilled nursing or long-term care experience preferred
- Treatment Nurse or wound care experience preferred
- Strong nursing assessment and documentation skills
- Knowledge of wound care and skin integrity practices
- Ability to organize and prioritize responsibilities independently
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Dependable and professional
