Job Summary: This position is primarily responsible for receiving, cleaning, storing, picking, and transporting furniture and other large household item inventory in a safe and efficient manner. This position will also ensure the warehouse and sales floor backroom are clean and organized and will assist customers and donors with loading and unloading these items.

We do this by serving the whole person and involving the whole community. The Love Seat is a nonprofit resale store and furniture bank serving our community by providing clean, quality items at an affordable price (Bargains for a Better Columbia) and free furniture and furnishings to our neighbors in need through the furniture bank.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming donations
- Clean and store inventory in designated warehouse locations
- Transport inventory between storage and the sales floor
- Load and unload deliver trucks
- Assist with furniture donation pickups and purchase deliveries
- Operate warehouse equipment such as dollies, pallet jack, and forklift (if certified)
- Follow safety procedures and maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse
- Provide exceptional customer service to donors and customers
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or HiSET credential
- Ablility to lift and move up to 100 lbs repeatedly and stand/walk for extended periods
- Ability to handle exposure to the elements (heat, cold, precipitation)
- Delivery or warehouse experience preferred
- Available to work some evenings and Saturdays

Working Conditions:
- Physical and labor-intensive work: lifting, carrying, bending, kneeling, and squatting
- Exposure to varying temperatures depending on the season or inventory
- Warehouse and truck environments
Schedule and Conditions:
- Part-time: up to 30 hrs/wk
- Schedule: Monday – Saturday rotation
