Overview
We are seeking reliable and customer-focused Roadside Assistance Contractors to join our team. This position offers the flexibility of working independently while using your own vehicle to assist stranded motorists. No prior roadside assistance experience is required—we provide comprehensive training.
As a Roadside Assistance Contractor, you will help customers with services such as tire changes, fuel delivery, vehicle lockouts, battery jump-starts, and other roadside support. Every day presents new challenges and opportunities to make a positive impact on customers in need.

Responsibilities
- Safely drive to dispatched service calls
- Perform roadside assistance services, including:
- Tire changes
- Fuel delivery
- Battery jump-starts
- Vehicle lockouts
- Other roadside support services
- Respond promptly to dispatch requests and customer communications
- Assess vehicle situations and follow established service procedures
- Document completed services with photos and required customer signatures
- Maintain accurate service records
- Follow all traffic laws and safety protocols
- Provide professional, courteous customer service at all times
Requirements
- Valid Ohio driver's license
- Clean driving record
- Reliable personal vehicle

Compensation
- $24.50 per completed service call
- Mileage reimbursement of $1.05 per mile after the first 5 service miles
- Customer tips (full-time drivers average $100–$150 per week)
- Weekly direct deposit
For incomplete service calls that are not the contractor's fault (such as customer no-shows or tow-required situations), contractors receive applicable mileage reimbursement plus 50% of the service-call payment.
Earning Potential
- Typical full-time contractors complete 40–60 service calls per week
- Top performers earn up to $1,500+ per week
- Peak-season performers may complete up to 90 service calls in a week
Service Area
Service coverage extends approximately 40 miles from Downtown Columbus, including:
- Columbus metro area
- Marysville
- Delaware
- Lancaster
- London
- Newark
Most assignments are located within the I-270 corridor.
Training & Equipment
No experience is required. Comprehensive training is provided.
Contractors may borrow a complete roadside assistance tool kit, including:
- Hydraulic jack
- Fuel can
- Lockout kit
- Battery jump pack
- Additional roadside service equipment
A safety beacon light will also be provided for installation on your vehicle.
Schedule
- Full-time and part-time opportunities available
- Part-time contractors must maintain at least 20 scheduled hours per week

Payment Schedule
All services completed Monday through Sunday are paid via direct deposit no later than the following Wednesday.
Additional Information
This is a 1099 Independent Contractor position. Contractors use their own vehicles and are responsible for maintaining valid licensing, registration, and insurance coverage throughout their engagement.
