Description of Job:
SnapCare is seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment in Texas. This role supports a high-volume surgical services department within a 226-bed facility, delivering perioperative nursing care across a wide range of surgical specialties. The ideal candidate is high-energy, motivated, and thrives in a fast-paced OR environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide perioperative nursing care for patients undergoing surgical procedures
- Maintain a sterile field and ensure adherence to surgical safety protocols
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and surgical technologists
- Prepare operating rooms, equipment, and supplies for procedures
- Assist with patient positioning, time-outs, and surgical documentation
- Monitor patient status throughout the perioperative process
- Accurately document care in the Meditech EMR system
- Participate in rotating call coverage as scheduled
Qualifications:
- Active RN license (Texas or compact license accepted)
- Minimum of 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience
- Strong knowledge of perioperative workflows and surgical procedures
- High energy, motivated, and team-oriented
