Overview
We are seeking a versatile and dedicated Well Rounded Skilled Carpenter / Semi Skilled Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about craftsmanship, building, and renovation projects across various sectors. As a key contributor, you will perform a wide range of carpentry tasks, demonstrating proficiency in both skilled and semi-skilled duties to ensure high-quality results on every project. Your expertise will help us deliver exceptional construction and restoration services efficiently and safely, fostering a collaborative environment where craftsmanship and attention to detail thrive.
Our projects are usually within the general area around Raleigh but sometimes as far out as Wilson.
Duties
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install a variety of building components including framing, siding, cabinetry, doors, and fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
- Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute project specifications.
- Conduct trim carpentry, drywall installation, plastering, stucco application, and caulking to ensure smooth finishes.
- Assist with restoration projects such as water damage remediation, and general building repairs.
- Support plumbing, electrical, HVAC rough-ins or repairs where applicable; assist with remodeling and renovation efforts.
- Handle heavy lifting safely while maintaining adherence to safety protocols on construction sites.
- Install flooring (tile or wood), siding, windows, doors (including door hanging), fixtures, and cabinetry with attention to detail.
- Read and interpret schematics for metal stud framing, drywall systems, or electrical layouts to ensure proper installation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment; ensure all tools and materials are properly stored after use.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction or carpentry roles with a focus on both skilled and semi-skilled tasks.
- Proficiency with hand tools (saws, hammers, chisels), power tools (drills, grinders), and construction equipment.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Experience with framing (wood or metal), roofing systems, siding installation, drywall finishing, and fixture installation.
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform heavy lifting and work at heights or in confined spaces safely.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with an eye for detail; ability to follow safety protocols diligently.
- MUST HAVE VALID DL AND TRANSPORTATION
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments across multiple projects. Pay: $24.00 - $34.00 per hour
