- Baking & Food Preparation
- Prepare scratch-baked goods for residents, guests, and bistro offerings within scheduled time frames.
- Develop and update menus for daily, seasonal, and specialty baked items.
- Decorate pastries and desserts to Mosaic’s presentation standards.
- Ensure consistency in quality, taste, and portion control for all baked products.
- Assist with cooking and preparation of meals as needed.
- Inventory, Ordering & Cost Control
- Assist the Dining Services Manager with ordering, tracking, and rotating ingredients and supplies.
- Monitor stock levels to ensure adequate inventory without over-ordering or waste.
- Report shortages, breakage, or supply concerns promptly to the Dining Services Manager.
- High school diploma or equivalent; formal culinary or baking training preferred.
- Minimum 1-2 years of baking or culinary experience in a commercial or healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, proper ingredient handling, and kitchen sanitation practices.
- Ability to prepare a wide range of baked goods skillfully and efficiently.
- Strong organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift 40-50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Experience creating menus or developing specialty baked goods.
- Prior experience in senior living, healthcare, or hospitality dining environments.
