Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Concrete Finisher Form Setter to join our family construction business. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing, setting, and finishing concrete forms that shape the foundation and structural elements of various construction projects. Your expertise in formwork construction, blueprint reading, and concrete finishing will be essential to ensure precise, durable, and high-quality results. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from commercial buildings, renovation sites, residential houses, etc. Experience is preferred
Duties
- Construct and install formwork using hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment, ensuring accuracy according to detailed blueprints and schematics.
- Interpret technical drawings and construction plans to determine form dimensions, materials needed, and placement.
- Set up rebar frameworks and reinforce concrete structures in accordance with safety regulations and project specifications.
- Mix, pour, and finish concrete surfaces with precision, including smoothing, troweling, caulking, and sealing.
- Operate concrete mixers, pumps, cutting tools, and other heavy machinery safely and efficiently on-site.
- Follow all construction workplace safety regulations to maintain a secure environment for yourself and team members.
- Collaborate with carpenters, masons, welders, and other trades to ensure seamless project execution from framing to restoration.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working on construction projects with a strong focus on concrete forming and finishing.
- Mechanical knowledge of tools such as hand tools, power tools, concrete mixers, saws, and welding equipment.
- Ability to read blueprints accurately and interpret technical drawings or schematics.
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes related to materials like formwork components and concrete supplies.
- Familiarity with construction safety protocols including OSHA standards or equivalent workplace safety regulations.
- Skills in rebar installation, concrete pouring, cutting, finishing techniques such as troweling or plastering.
- Experience working with heavy lifting equipment is a plus
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting, standing for long periods, and working in various weather conditions.
