Position Summary
Hill Country Orthotics & Prosthetics is seeking a professional, dependable, and customer-focused Front Desk Receptionist to join our growing team. As the first point of contact for patients, this individual plays a critical role in creating a positive patient experience while supporting daily clinic operations.
Due to the high volume of Spanish-speaking patients we serve, fluency in both English and Spanish is required for this position.
Responsibilities
- Greet and check in patients in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer incoming phone calls and direct calls appropriately
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments
- Verify patient demographics and insurance information
- Collect copays and process patient payments
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Coordinate communication between patients, providers, and referral sources
- Assist with insurance authorization and verification processes as needed
- Manage incoming and outgoing clinic correspondence
- Perform general administrative and front office duties
Qualifications
Required:
- Fluent in both English and Spanish
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office, and office equipment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Professional appearance and demeanor
Preferred:
- Previous medical office, healthcare, or front desk experience
- Experience with insurance verification and patient scheduling
- Knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR) systems

Additional Requirement
Applicants must be bilingual in English and Spanish. This is an essential function of the position due to the significant number of Spanish-speaking patients served by our clinics. Candidates who are not fluent in both languages will not be considered.
