Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Dump Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in heavy equipment operation and a strong background in construction. This role involves transporting materials to and from residential and business sites, ensuring safety and compliance with all regulations while operating various types of heavy machinery.
Duties
- Operate dump trucks to transport materials such as gravel, sand, asphalt, and other aggregate materials to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and functionality.
- Collaborate with site managers and other team members to coordinate material deliveries and pickups efficiently.
- Operate additional heavy equipment as needed, including excavators, dozers, rock crushers and loaders.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including quantities and types of materials transported.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies while on the job site.
- Assist in loading and unloading materials if necessary.
- Perform routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with dump trucks or similar heavy vehicles.
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
- Experience operating various types of heavy machinery is preferred.
- Familiarity with construction site operations and safety protocols.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks as required.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members on-site.
