******5K bonus***********Join our dedicated veterinary team as a Licensed Overnight Veterinary Technician and play a vital role in providing exceptional care during the overnight hours. Responsibilities
- Monitor hospitalized animals overnight, including assessing vital signs and recognizing signs of distress or deterioration
- Assist with anesthesia administration, including general anesthesia and sedation protocols, ensuring patient safety during procedures
- Perform venous access procedures such as IV insertion and animal catheterization for medication delivery and fluid therapy
- Conduct laboratory tests, including phlebotomy and diagnostic radiology, to support accurate diagnoses and treatment plans
- Maintain aseptic techniques during surgical and medical procedures to prevent infections
- Handle emergency situations by providing critical care, including emergency medicine interventions and intensive monitoring
- Operate medical equipment such as X-ray machines, radiology diagnostics tools, and anesthesia machines with precision
- Support pet care activities like grooming, feeding, and animal restraint to ensure comfort and safety during overnight shifts
- Document all patient interactions, treatments, medication administrations, and diagnostic results thoroughly in medical records
- Collaborate with veterinary team members to develop comprehensive care plans tailored to each patient’s needs
Qualifications
- Valid license as a Veterinary Technician or Technologist in accordance with state regulations
- Proven experience working as a veterinary technician or in animal husbandry, preferably with overnight or critical care experience
- Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, anatomy, and medical procedures
- Skilled in animal restraint techniques for dogs, cats, and other small animals; experience with equine handling is a plus
- Proficiency in laboratory procedures such as phlebotomy, blood sampling, and diagnostic radiology diagnostics
- Familiarity with anesthesia protocols including general anesthesia management and vascular access techniques
- Ability to operate veterinary medical equipment safely and accurately
- Excellent animal handling skills combined with compassionate pet care practices
- Knowledge of emergency medicine protocols and critical & intensive care procedures
- Strong communication skills for effective team collaboration and client interaction when needed

Pay: $25.09 - $31.21 per hour
