Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Christian Choir Music Teacher to inspire and nurture the musical talents of elementary school students. Responsibilities
- Plan and implement dynamic choir lessons tailored to elementary school students, incorporating Christian hymns and spiritual songs.
- Lead rehearsals, ensuring students develop proper vocal techniques, pitch accuracy, and confidence in performance.
- Develop comprehensive curriculum that integrates music theory, literacy education, and faith-based themes aligned with school values.
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment that supports children with diverse needs, including those with special education requirements or autism.
- Mentor students in their musical journey, encouraging teamwork, discipline, and personal growth through regular feedback and encouragement.
- Organize performances for school events, religious services, and community gatherings that showcase student talents.
- Utilize learning technology tools to enhance lesson delivery and track student progress effectively.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in teaching music or choir at the elementary level, with strong classroom management skills.
- Knowledge of curriculum development tailored to early childhood education and childhood development principles.
- Familiarity with teaching physical education and incorporating movement into musical activities is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills to engage students, parents, and staff effectively.
- Ability to adapt lessons for children with special needs or those requiring early intervention strategies.
- Strong writing skills for lesson planning, progress reports, and instructional materials.
