Job Overview
A hospital system operating under LifePoint Health, is seeking an Information Technology & Systems Market Director to provide strategic leadership and oversight for IT & Services (IT&S) across their assigned market. This is a senior leadership role for an experienced healthcare IT professional who can align market-level operations with enterprise strategy while ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient technology across multiple facilities.
The successful candidate will serve as the key link between facility leadership and enterprise IT, driving innovation, performance improvement, and data-informed decision-making across clinical, operational, and business functions.
Responsibilities
- Enterprise Alignment & Strategic Leadership
- Serve as the primary liaison between market/facility leadership and enterprise IT
Operational Excellence & Service Delivery
- Oversee day-to-day IT operations across assigned facilities, including infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, and support services
- Ensure consistent IT service management, incident response, and change management in line with enterprise policy
- Maintain regulatory compliance (HIPAA, HITECH) and support audits, inspections, and accreditation processes
Project & Change Management
- Lead or support enterprise IT initiatives across market facilities, including EHR upgrades, cybersecurity initiatives, digital transformation, and technical debt reduction
- Champion change management, staff training, and technology adoption
Collaboration & Relationship Building
- Build strong relationships with facility leadership, clinical teams, and enterprise IT peers
- Manage external vendor and partner relationships per enterprise procurement guidelines
Financial Stewardship
- Partner with facility financial leaders on cost containment strategies
- Identify operational efficiencies, cost savings, and revenue opportunities through technology
Talent Management & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop the market's IT team
- Support workforce planning, succession management, and staff engagement
Performance Improvement & Innovation
- Drive continuous improvement using data analytics and enterprise performance metrics
- Promote adoption of emerging technologies that advance patient care, efficiency, and data security
- Participate in enterprise governance councils, contributing to data governance, cybersecurity, and technology standards
- Lead the market's IT strategic planning process, aligning initiatives with market, facility, and enterprise goals
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field required, or 7+ years of direct experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree required.
Experience:
- 5+ years of progressive IT management experience, including at least 3 years in healthcare and multi-site or enterprise environments
- Demonstrated experience with hospital IT operations, EHR systems, cybersecurity, regulatory compliance, and project management
- Experience with multi-site hospital IT operations preferred
- Experience managing budgets, vendor relationships, and IT staff development
- Knowledge of industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and emerging trends in healthcare IT

Pay: $101,000.00 - $136,000.00 per year
