Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for exceptional customer service and a strong understanding of food and beverage offerings. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in creating memorable dining experiences for our guests while ensuring that all service standards are met.
Duties
- Greet and welcome guests promptly and courteously, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately using the Aloha or Micros POS systems.
- Provide detailed menu information, including daily specials, to enhance guest experience and encourage upselling.
- Serve food and beverages in an efficient manner while adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders.
- Manage multiple tables effectively while maintaining attention to detail and time management skills.
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and requests with professionalism, ensuring high levels of guest satisfaction.
- Process payments accurately through cash handling procedures, including basic math calculations for checks.
- Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area throughout service shifts.
- Participate in ongoing training related to food handling, sanitation practices, and guest relations.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or fine dining environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha or Micros is advantageous.
- Culinary experience or knowledge of food preparation techniques is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests effectively.
- Experience with upselling techniques to enhance sales performance is beneficial.
- Background in hospitality or guest services will be considered an asset.
