Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Chowbus ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff
- Serve food and drinks efficiently, including cocktails, spirits, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages, maintaining high standards of presentation and safety
- Process sales transactions accurately while handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods with precision
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols
- Assist with food preparation or kitchen support when needed, demonstrating versatility within the food service environment
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments; fine dining experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of Chowbus and OpenTable for efficient order processing
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and handle guest relations professionally
- Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing sales transactions
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while multitasking seamlessly
- Food safety certification or willingness to obtain training; prior food handling experience preferred
- Experience with food industry standards including sanitation, food preparation support, bussing, cashiering, and hospitality principles
