Qualifications -
-
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university.
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required special education endorsements for assignments.

Preferred Math and/or English Certification (grades 6-8).

Knowledge of special needs of students in the assigned area.
- Knowledge of the Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) Committee process and Individual Education Plan (IEP) goal-setting process and implementation.
- Knowledge of how to adapt curriculum and instruction for special needs.
- Effective communication skills.

English as a Second Language (ESL) certification or ability to obtain certification.
