Requirements
- Active South Carolina Special Education teaching license (required)
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field
- Experience working with students with exceptional learning needs preferred
- Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills
- Passion for creating inclusive and supportive learning environments
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Deliver differentiated instruction to meet students' academic, behavioral, functional, and social-emotional needs
- Foster a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
- Implement positive behavior supports and classroom management strategies
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team collaboration
