Paraprofessional
Overview:
Work one on one with consumers and small groups of consumers to reinforce habilitation/support services. Assistance with acquisition, retention, self help, socialization and adaptive skills, that take place in a home or community. Interactions with the consumers are designed to achieve outcomes identified for individuals Service Plans (ISP). Support and supervise consumers with activities to sustain skills gained through habilitation and training.
Responsibilities:
- Under direct supervision of the QP profesional, Program Directorn and other managment.
- Shows genuine interest and concerns for the overall well-being and continued care for the consumer.
- Participate and complete all staff trainings, regular staff meetings and special training as needed.
- Always maintain confidentiality of consumers records.
- Always ensure that the consumer are free from harm or abuse.
Experience
- Demonstrated ability to work with individuals with Individual developmental disabilities.
- Dependable transportation
- Valid drivers license, valid insurance
- Reliable access to the internet.
