The Host/Hostess is responsible for creating a warm and welcoming first impression by greeting every guest with genuine enthusiasm and professionalism. Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional first impression
- Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table turnover while maintaining guest comfort
- Answer incoming phone calls with courteous and clear communication, handling inquiries effectively
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area to ensure a welcoming atmosphere
- Assist with guest inquiries about menu items, restaurant policies, or special accommodations
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth flow of service and guest satisfaction
- Uphold food safety standards by following proper hygiene protocols and restaurant procedures
- Handle guest concerns promptly and professionally, demonstrating excellent guest relations skills
- Prepared and packaged to-go orders accurately and efficiently.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Host/Hostess or in food service roles with strong customer service skills
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and active listening abilities
- Familiarity with POS systems
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tables and guest needs efficiently
- Knowledge of food safety standards and restaurant operations
- Hospitality experience, restaurant background preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and positive attitude
- Exceptional guest relations skills, ensuring guests feel welcomed, valued, and satisfied throughout their visit
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
