Job Overview
Join our Ro Health Team as a Behavior Technician working within a public school setting in Oakland, Hayward, and surrounding East Bay communities! In this vital role, you will support students with developmental disabilities, including autism, by implementing individualized behavioral interventions and therapeutic strategies. This position will start in August and continue during the 2026-27 school year.
Duties
- Implement evidence-based behavioral therapy techniques, including applied behavior analysis (ABA), tailored to each student’s individualized plan.
- Collect and accurately and consistently record data on student behaviors, progress, and responses to interventions.
- Priortize communication with our staffing team and clinical supervisors.
- Assist with hygiene care, toileting, daipering, and support with hygiene routines.
- Support students during classroom activities, social interactions, and daily routines to promote engagement and skill development.
- Participate in ongoing training related to behavioral health, medical terminology, special education practices, and autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
Skills
- Strong understanding of behavioral therapy principles and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities or autism.
- Ability to support with combative, aggressive, and moderate/severe behaviors.
- Ability to collect detailed data accurately during therapy sessions and classroom activities.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations ensuring confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including educators and healthcare providers.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour
