Overview
Drat Logistics LLC is an Amazon Delivery Service Partner (DSP) looking for enthusiastic, team players to deliver Amazon packages. DSPs are independent businesses that partner with Amazon to deliver packages.
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled DOT Certified Box Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate must take safety seriously and will be responsible for delivering packages safely and efficiently while providing excellent customer service. This role requires proficiency in operating various types of box trucks and may involve manual transmission driving. The Truck Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the highest standards of safety on the road.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies while driving.
- Safely operate box trucks, to deliver packages with a Diver Helper at designated locations.
- Lift packages up to 250 lbs. alongside Driver Helper and a Dulley.
- Use handheld device for routing information, customer delivery information.
- Navigate a variety of routes throughout delivery area.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Must be comfortable driving and working in varying weather conditions. Load and unload
- packages to be delivered
- Communicate effectively with customers to provide updates on delivery status and address any concerns.
- Assist with moving items as needed during deliveries or pickups.
- Provide exceptional customer service by representing the company professionally at all times.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license: experience with manual transmission is a plus.
- Previous experience as a Box Truck Driver or courier is highly desirable.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with clients.
- Ability to lift heavy loads and perform physical tasks associated with loading and delivering packages.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- A clean driving record with no major violations is preferred.
