Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Janitor/Cleaner to join our dynamic facilities maintenance team. Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Maintain floors through sweeping, mopping, buffing, and other floor care techniques to ensure a spotless appearance.
- Conduct routine custodial tasks such as trash removal, dusting, window cleaning, and surface sanitation.
- Assist with light maintenance duties including minor repairs and facilities upkeep to support overall building operations.
- Follow safety protocols during cleaning procedures and handle cleaning chemicals responsibly.
- Support special cleaning projects like carpet shampooing or industrial cleaning as needed to uphold high standards of hygiene.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to ensure swift resolution and continuous safety.
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques such as buffing, stripping, and sealing is highly desirable.
- Experience with industrial cleaning equipment and supplies enhances your suitability for this role.
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks including minor repairs is a plus.
- Previous porter or facilities support experience will be considered an asset.
