Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor safety protocols aligned with OSHA standards and industry best practices to promote a safe fleet environment.
- Manage all aspects of fleet safety compliance, including adherence to FDA regulations where applicable, and ensure transportation management practices meet regulatory requirements.
- Oversee claims processing related to fleet incidents, coordinating with insurance providers and internal teams to facilitate prompt resolution.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments for freight operations, identifying potential hazards and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Prepare detailed reports on safety incidents, regulatory reporting, and fleet performance metrics to inform continuous improvement efforts.
- Collaborate with logistics and supply chain teams to optimize freight handling procedures while maintaining compliance with transportation regulations.
- Lead training sessions on safety policies, OSHA standards, and regulatory updates for drivers and staff involved in fleet operations.
Experience
- Proven experience in fleet management, logistics, or transportation safety roles with a strong understanding of OSHA regulations and risk management principles.
- Familiarity with supply chain processes, freight handling, and transportation management systems.
- Knowledge of FDA regulations relevant to freight or supply chain operations is a plus.
- Experience in regulatory reporting, compliance management, report writing, and incident investigation is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to analyze data and prepare comprehensive reports on safety performance and claims activity.
