Canyon Grove Academy, a dynamic and student-centered K-12 public charter school, is seeking a compassionate and dedicated School Social Worker to join our team.
Position: Licensed School Social Worker
Location: Canyon Grove Academy
Grade Levels: Kindergarten through 12th Grade
Status: Full-Time
Start Date: August 1, 2026
Job Summary:
As a School Social Worker at Canyon Grove Academy, you will play a vital role in supporting the emotional, behavioral, and social well-being of our students. Working closely with teachers, families, and administrators, you will help remove barriers to learning, provide counseling and intervention services, and advocate for students’ needs across all grade levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling to students dealing with social, emotional, or behavioral challenges
- Develop and use diagnostic criteria for students who could benefit from services.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop and implement strategies for student success
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized service plans
- Assist in crisis intervention and provide support during emergencies
- Serve as a liaison between the school, families, and community agencies
- Promote a safe and inclusive school environment
- Participate in IEP and 504 plan meetings as needed
- Provide training to faculty and curriculum to support the Canyon Grove Community
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
- Preference to hold an LCSW license
- Current Utah School Social Worker License or eligibility to obtain one
- Experience working with children and adolescents in a school or similar setting preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
- Passion for supporting the whole child in a diverse and inclusive educational setting
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
