Ability to Commute:
Work Location: In person
Required days/hours: M-F 7:00-4:00 + additional morning hours for snow removal
Essential Functions:
- Assist in all aspects of property maintenance, including grounds, custodial, preventative, corrective, and deferred maintenance
- Clean and maintain the pool as directed if certified for pool maintenance
- Check and replace exterior lighting as necessary
- Physically walk the property frequently to remove litter, debris, and pet droppings from the grounds
- Perform “trash out” duties in vacated apartments
- Assist in removing abandoned furniture, trash, boxes, etc.
- Transfer trash and other items left outside the dumpster into the dumpster
- Keep the grounds neat and free of litter and other debris; rake, sweep, and shovel as circumstances warrant
- Use a blower to keep sidewalks, breezeways, and walking areas free of loose grass and brush
- Use a shovel and other equipment/materials to keep sidewalks, breezeways, and walking areas free of snow and ice
- Assist with “make-ready” duties and perform routine maintenance duties as requested by the Community Director and Maintenance Supervisor
- Perform miscellaneous groundskeeping tasks such as tearing down fences, digging post holes, carrying abandoned furniture, etc.
- Help clean and maintain storage areas
- Perform interior and exterior painting duties as requested
- Change locks and make keys when requested
- Distribute physical resident communications such as upcoming events, pest control notices, newsletters, etc.
- Perform work area clean-up and safety-related duties
- Work both indoors and outdoors
- Constant need to be on feet, climb stairs, push/pull, climb ladders, lift/carry up to 50 pounds
- Obtain fair housing certification and stay up to date with IT security training courses
- Maintain regular and prompt attendance
Additional Functions:
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or Community Director
