Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced Mimaki Direct Color Printer & Sign Production Operator to join our production team.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating Mimaki printing equipment, producing ADA signage, printing and plotting vinyl, and applying vinyl to a variety of substrates.
This position is ideal for someone who understands the complete production process — from receiving a Work Order and preparing files through printing, cutting, application, finishing, tracking materials, and completing the finished product.

Required Experience
· Professional experience operating Mimaki direct-color printing equipment.
· Experience producing ADA signs.
· Experience with vinyl printing and plotting.
· Hands-on experience applying vinyl to substrates.
· Strong CorelDRAW experience.
· Comfortable working with computers and production software.
· Ability to read and work from Work Orders.
· Understanding of production workflows and deadlines.
· Ability to track products and materials used on each job.
· Strong attention to detail.
· Good English-speaking and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities – Printing & Production
· Operate and monitor Mimaki direct-color printing equipment.
· Prepare and run production jobs according to Work Orders.
· Set up materials and ensure proper positioning before printing.
· Monitor print quality and identify printing issues.
· Perform routine machine cleaning and maintenance.
· Troubleshoot basic printing and production issues.
· Maintain consistent color and print quality.
Key Responsibilities – ADA Sign Production
· Produce ADA-compliant signage according to production specifications.
· Prepare and process printed and tactile sign components.
· Work with various substrates and materials used in ADA signage.
· Ensure finished signs meet quality and production requirements.
Key Responsibilities – Vinyl Production
· Operate vinyl printers and cutting plotters.
· Prepare vinyl files for printing and cutting.
· Weed and prepare printed/cut vinyl.
· Apply vinyl accurately to substrates.
· Ensure proper alignment, adhesion, and finished appearance.
· Lamination and finishing experience is preferred.
Key Responsibilities – File & Computer Skills
· Use CorelDRAW to prepare and modify production files.
· Work comfortably with computers, production software, and digital files.
· Review files before production and identify potential issues.
· Follow production specifications and Work Orders accurately.
· Maintain organized job files and production information.

Materials & Work Orders
· Pull and prepare required materials for each job.
· Track materials and products used.
· Communicate material shortages or production issues.
· Maintain accurate production records.
· Follow Work Orders from start to finish.
· Ensure completed products match the specifications on the Work Order.
Communication & Transportation Requirements
· English speaking and communication skills are required.
· Must be able to understand and follow Work Orders, production instructions, and verbal directions in English.
· Must be able to communicate clearly with supervisors and team members.
· Must have your own reliable vehicle and be able to travel to and from the workplace reliably.
Qualifications
· 2+ years of relevant sign production, digital printing, or similar experience preferred.
· Hands-on Mimaki printer experience.
· ADA sign production experience is strongly preferred.
· Vinyl printing, plotting, and application experience.
· Strong CorelDRAW skills.
· Good computer skills.
· Ability to understand and follow Work Orders.
· Strong English-speaking and communication skills.
· Own reliable vehicle for transportation.
· Strong attention to detail.
· Good organization and time-management skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.
· Reliable and able to meet production deadlines.
Physical Requirements
· Must be able to stand and work on your feet for extended periods.
· Must be able to lift and move production materials and substrates.
· Must be comfortable working in a hands-on sign production environment.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for an experienced production professional who can hit the ground running. You should be comfortable operating a Mimaki printer, working with vinyl, producing ADA signage, using CorelDRAW, and following Work Orders without needing constant supervision.
The right candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, computer-savvy, able to communicate clearly in English, and able to work reliably using their own transportation.
