Job Description
The CT Tech will perform high‑quality diagnostic CT imaging to support physicians in diagnosing a wide range of medical conditions. This role requires strong technical skills, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work independently during night‑shift operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic CT procedures including:
- Chest
- Abdomen/Pelvis
- PE studies
- Brain & head
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, and proper positioning
- Follow all clinical protocols and radiation‑safety standards
- Work independently and collaboratively with ancillary staff and another CT Technologist
- Perform portable CT exams in the ED and inpatient units
- Maintain accurate documentation and utilize EMR/PACS systems
- Communicate effectively with radiologists, nurses, and clinical teams
Qualifications & Skills
- Graduate of an accredited CT program
- Competent in all routine CT procedures
- Ability to work independently on night shift
- Strong communication and patient‑care skills
- Experience performing portable CT exams
- Familiarity with emergency and inpatient workflows
Required Credentials
- BLS (AHA)
- IEMA license
- ARRT (CT) certification
- Active state licensure as required
Technology & Equipment
- EMR: EPIC
- Imaging: CT scanners with full protocol capability
- PACS: Hospital‑based system
- Portable CT equipment for ED/inpatient use
