Test and inspect boiler systems for leaks/defects and verify corrective actions.

Replace/repair valves using hand and power tools.

Apply gas torch skills for fit-up, cutting, and controlled heating.

Clean boilers, boiler furnaces, and pressure vessels using scrapers, wire brushes, and cleaning solvents.

Inspect tubes, fittings, valves, controls, and auxiliary mechanisms for defects and compliance.

Install manholes, handholes, taps, tubes, valves, gauges, and feedwater connections in water-tube boiler drums.

Lay refractory brick in fireboxes to extend equipment life and performance.

Use blueprints to determine precise locations, positions, and dimensions of parts.

Fluent in reading/understanding specifications and drawings; able to follow procedures accurately.

Committed to PPE use; respirator fit and readiness required.

Confined-space access capable; champions the highest level of safety from start to finish.

Climb stairs/ladders up to 200 rungs per hour.

Walk between multiple work areas throughout the shift.

Perform in noise, fumes, dust, and inclement weather.

Work overtime to meet production needs; must be able to work 60+ hours/week.

(Preferred) 8 years in boiler, heat exchanger, and valve repair.

Refractory bricklaying background in industrial settings (cement plants, steel mills, power plants, etc.).

Ability to obtain DBIDS/TWIC credentials.

Open-air conditions (hot/cold) and office-controlled spaces.

Project visits aboard ships and rigs, onshore and offshore, including confined spaces.

Activities can include bending, crouching, and climbing over scaffolding, ladders, and internal barge/boat structures.

Some travel required.
