Your role:
You will need to live in the Portland, Oregon metro area. After training is completed on-site at our office you will work remotely from your residence in the Portland metro area.
Our medical schedulers play a vital role in the efficient operation of our organization by:
· Arranging and managing appointments via phone for consultations, procedures, and follow-ups at our clinic locations, procedure center, and local hospitals.
· Equipping patient to have a successful procedure through careful review and explanation of prep instructions for procedure.
· Ensuring smooth communication between patients and healthcare providers through effective use of the EPIC system and other applications.
· Assisting patients with registration, ensuring accurate and complete information collection.
· Managing and mastering provider schedules to ensure seamless scheduling.
· Assisting with billing processes by collecting and verifying insurance information.
· Working together with Nurse Triage and Medical Assistant departments to facilitate patient care and provide patients with scheduling solutions.
· Identifying and suggesting improvements in scheduling processes to enhance efficiency and patient satisfaction.
General Qualifications and Experience
- Medical terminology, keyboarding and filing skills, word processing experience, good grammar and vocabulary skills.
- Ability to read, understands, and follows written and oral instructions and written and oral communication skills that enable effective relationships with patients, physicians and employees.
- Skilled in using courteous and professional telephone manner which demonstrates caring and understanding attitude while maintaining professional ethic and patient confidentiality.
- Excellent understanding of computer technology.
- Can work both independently and in a team environment.
- Easily adaptable to change and enjoys working in a fast-paced medical environment.
Education and Training
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- One-year customer service experience
- One-year scheduling experience preferred
Schedule/Hours
- This remote position is 5 days a week 8:30 am – 5:00 pm.
- No weekends or holidays!
Work Location: Remote (must reside in Oregon or Washington and be able to train from the office if needed and work from the office in the event of any power or service disruptions)

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
